Chapman Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Project Coordinator / Document controller with exceptional administration and organisational skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your career in project coordination or take the next step towards a project management role. You will be based onsite at Manchester Airport, supporting a well-established Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) engineering company. Founded in 2003, this industry leader specialises in automation & control, material handling, site services, and full design & build M&E solutions. You’ll work closely with project managers and the site team, acting as the key point of contact for both clients and contractors. Excellent IT and communication skills are essential. Previous experience in the construction or engineering sector is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities of Project Coordinator / Document controller: * Support the delivery of projects on time and within budget. * Coordinate smooth information flow across project teams. * Take ownership of document control and project administration. * Assist with the Airside Pass application process. * Maintain and organise project documentation. * Collate weekly timesheets and ensure data accuracy. * Provide general administrative support: typing, filing, archiving, photocopying. * Prepare documents and permits for engineers. * Support the commercial team with contractual documentation. * Liaise with on-site teams to collect project information. * Communicate with clients as needed. What We're Looking For in a Project Coordinator / Document controller: * Clear DBS check (essential to obtain Airside Pass). * Confident, professional communication style. * Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) * Solid background in document control and admin processes. * Experience in a busy project environment (ideally in construction or engineering). * Minimum 1–2 years administration experience.
