The Role:
As a Senior Mission Systems Engineer you will be responsible for the efficient, safe and effective conduct of evaluation, test and trails activities within Aerospace Engineering.
Day-to-day, you’ll conduct these activities on a wide variety of operational systems such as Complex Electronic Hardware, Communications, Navigation & Identification, Displays and Mission Systems working on a range of different aircraft platforms.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing specialist advice in Air platform certification, qualification, performance and operability domains
* Working across different aircraft platforms ranging from Combat aircraft, Helicopters, Large Transport/Reconnaissance to Unmanned air platforms
* Influencing decisions using advice, counselling and facilitating services
* Working across a wide variety of operational systems being responsible for efficient, safe and effective conduct of evaluation, test and trail activities
Essential experience of the Senior Mission Systems Engineer:
* Demonstrable experience of working in or having knowledge of Aircraft/Air Platform certification and qualification
* Previous experience of working in or having knowledge of Aircraft/Air Platform regulatory & legal compliance with safety regulations and standards
* Prior experience working Aerospace engineering with a track record of achievement
* A working knowledge of safety techniques, processes, methods and tools and how to apply them in either the military or civil domain
Essential qualifications for the Senior Mission Systems Engineer:
* A Technical Degree (Science or Engineering) or relevant technical experience

This role is 37 hours per week based at any of our main UK locations. Hybrid working patterns are available.
