Overview
We are seeking an experienced Food Hall Deli Counter Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy counter operation in a world famous Food Hall in London. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and culinary management, specifically in a similar environment - this doesn't really suit a restaurant manager. You need to demonstrate good team management skills, ability to control stock and the P and L, and a passion and flair for providing a fantastic displays and delivering outstanding service. This role calls for someone who is on the ball ,has a great attention to detail and is able to adapt quickly to deal with a varied and demanding clientele in a calm and organised manner.
Responsibilities
* Supervise daily operations within the unit, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.
* Manage and train staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership and communication.
* Oversee food preparation and production processes to maintain quality standards in line with health regulations.
* Ensure compliance with food safety practices and maintain cleanliness within the kitchen and dining areas.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure full and varied displays, and ensuring timely service during peak hours.
* Handle guest and landlord inquiries and complaints professionally, striving to exceed expectations at every opportunity.
* Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure operational efficiency.
* Assist in the development of training programs for new staff members, focusing on hospitality skills and culinary techniques.
* Provide factual input to senior management on the product range, offering suggestions as to changes needed to keep the offer fresh and appealing.
Experience
* Proven experience of at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role within a similar Food Hall environment essential.
* Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations and all compliance related requirements.
* Previous experience in team leadership, demonstrating effective management skills in a fast-paced setting.
* A demonstrable understanding of the P and L, with examples of how to affect positive change in the business results.
* We serve Indian, Thai and Sushi products, so a background in any or all of those is a benefit.

Pay: £28,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
