We are currently seeking an Interim Education Development Officer to join a dynamic team in West Berkshire, supporting the delivery and enhancement of education services across the region. Key Responsibilities: Lead on the development and implementation of education initiatives and improvement strategies in line with local authority priorities. Support schools, academies, and educational settings to raise standards and improve outcomes for children and young people. Work closely with headteachers, education leaders, and external partners to support effective leadership and governance. Analyse educational performance data to identify trends, areas for development, and opportunities for intervention. Contribute to policy development and the delivery of statutory functions within the education department. Essential Criteria: Proven experience in a similar role within a local authority or education setting. Strong understanding of national education policy and school improvement frameworks. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills. Ability to work strategically and influence senior leaders. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
