Salary: £38,798 per annum
The Opportunity
We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled facilities maintenance professional to take the next step in their career, joining the team at one of Edinburgh’s most renowned visitor attractions.
In this hands-on role, you’ll be central to the smooth running of the site — ensuring guests enjoy a brilliant experience by keeping everything operating as it should.
We’re not looking for previous management experience. What matters is a solid background in facilities maintenance, a practical mindset, and a genuine interest in working in a fast-paced, one-of-a-kind setting. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you get to grips with the technical side of the attraction and grow into the role with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the smooth running of site facilities
Coordinate and liaise with external contractors
Learn to support AV systems including lighting, sound, and themed effects
Undertake training to operate and maintain the drop ride
Carry out regular safety checks and work confidently at height
Hours
Monday – Friday 9:00 – 17:00 (Will be required to work 1 Weekend per month)
The Candidate
Experienced working in facilities maintenance
Able to repair faults
NVQ level 3 or equivalent within an engineering capacity
Training & Development
Full training will be provided in:
Audio-visual systems and theatrical effects
Ride maintenance and operation
Safe working practices at height (including harness training)
