Digital and Design Manager

From £49,739, £4,750 flex allowance, up to 20% discretionary bonus + benefits

This role takes an office first hybrid approach here at London Gatwick, with three days a week in the office, two days remote, managed around the needs of the business.

What is the role?

To lead on Gatwick's overall digital and design strategy supporting the airport's strategic objectives while protecting and enhancing the company's reputation.

Responsible for managing London Gatwick's corporate social channels, the corporate website pages, including developing and executing the content strategy across written and visual content including video and photography.

Responsible for creating design assets across digital and print, owning London Gatwick's internal brand and style guidelines. Responsible for leading on video content creation and editing, supporting all sub teams within Communications

What will you do?

1. Own digital and design strategy across corporate social channels, the corporate website pages, also creating design assets for the wider comms team (e.g. infographics, annual report, social media and internal comms capmaigns)
2. Manage and deliver Gatwick's proactive social media content – Linkedin, X, Facebook
3. Manage, write, edit and update content for Gatwick's corporate website and other corporate content
4. Lead and co-ordinate crisis communications across social media and website
5. Corporate lead and content creator on design, content creation and implementation of all social and internal design needs
6. Effectively manage a Digital Communications and Design Executive
7. Lead video content creator and editor, bringing concepts and ideas that will engage audiences across social
8. Deliver a monthly dashboard demonstrating progress against KPis for each channel and overall digital/design activity

Do you have what we're looking for?

9. Proven graphic designing experience
10. A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics and design work
11. Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop essential)
12. Additional digital skills (e.g. After Effects, Final Cut, Flash, Dreamweaver) would be an asset but not essential
13. Knowledge of web languages - HTML, HTML5 & CSS3
14. Knowledge of Google analytics, SEO, SEM
15. Traditional typography and print skills
16. Video Editing skills essential
17. Proven track record in leading the channel and content strategy for corporate social channels including the corporate website pages
18. Strong experience in content management and creation, with a focus on attention to detail
19. Strong understanding of reputation management
20. Experience in measuring and reporting on digital performance, analysing data to provide optimized digital strategy
21. Creative background to drive traffic to website and social media channels
22. Proven track record in working on multiple projects at any given time with strong organisational skills
23. Solid experience of budget management
24. Strong communication, stakeholder management and relationship building skills
25. Experienced in developing social media campaigns and supporting with internal campaigns managing the visual aspects (including infographics)
26. Owner and guardian of our internal branding and style guide, promoting this across the business
27. Produce consistently excellent visual work – for print and digital channels
28. Produce innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print and digital experiences
29. Confident filming and editing video content for social and internal channels
