Overview
The main purpose of the role is to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care working as a member of the multidisciplinary team under the supervision of the Ward Manager. You will be responsible for the organizing and co-ordination of the nursing services in the absence of senior staff and to maintain high clinical standards. The successful post holders must be able to role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the Trust.
Responsibilities
* Exercise accountability as set out in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
* Be responsible for all nursing care standards and maintain high clinical standards.
* Provide nursing care to a caseload of patients and provide verbal and written handovers to nursing colleagues and the multidisciplinary team.
* When responsible for the ward/department, ensure individualised programmes of care are formulated and carried out fully for each patient on the ward/department (up to 30 patients in a ward area).
* Role model compassionate and inclusive leadership to shape a collective leadership culture within the Trust, engaging, enabling and empowering others, using coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement, and facilitating team working across boundaries.

Role Details
* Certificate of Sponsorship: Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust holds a sponsor licence. Ensure UKVI eligibility before applying.
* DBS: A DBS check may be required; any applicable payment will be deducted from the first monthly pay.
* An exciting opportunity on Ward 1 at Alnwick for a registered nurse to join our team. Ward 1 is a 23-bed Care of the Elderly ward specialising in rehabilitation with a strong focus on multidisciplinary teamwork.
* The post will be fully rotational day/night duty and cover seven days a week including bank holidays. Previous experience is desirable but not essential. The ward offers a wide range of clinical experience and staff development opportunities.
