The team provides technology services including cloud, on-premises data centers, networks, databases, and desktops required for daily business functions, focusing on performance and reliability, with key issues and risks evidenced by measurable indicators. User-facing services include IT Helpdesk, desktop (end-user computing), and business application support.
Position Description:
We are seeking a talented Junior Salesforce Developer to join our team to build and support Salesforce applications and customizations.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Build and support Salesforce applications and customizations.
2. Configure and develop custom objects and applications using Salesforce.com.
3. Facilitate testing and release of software solutions and system handover.
4. Provide technical guidance to IT colleagues and support teams.
5. Collaborate with senior developers to complete development tasks aligned with sprint goals.
6. Understand the Salesforce codebase and provide second-line support to users.
7. Work with business users, analysts, and project managers to understand and deliver requirements.
8. Design software solutions within the Insight systems architecture and current tools.
9. Develop and implement high-quality software within scope, time, and budget, adhering to standards and procedures.
Experience Required:
* Good knowledge of Salesforce CRM.
* Apex programming experience.
* Aptitude for learning and introducing new features.
* Experience with integrated development tools like Salesforce DX, Visual Studio, or Visual Code.
* Experience in a commercial software development environment, familiar with change management, controls, and standards.
* Experience configuring and developing custom objects and apps on Salesforce.
* Ability to create workflows, approval processes, and validation rules, especially using Flow and Process Builder.
* Data manipulation and load preparation in Salesforce.
* Strong communication skills across all project levels.
* Ability to work with incomplete information, considering dependencies and constraints.
* Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
* Problem-solving skills, responsibility, and ownership of complex deliverables.
* Attention to detail, curiosity, and proactive questioning.
* Resilience and adaptability in an agile, risk-averse environment.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
