HD Fitter (Drill Fitter) | Welshpool | Up to $80/hr | Metro 8:6/7:7
Opportunity
Join one of Australia’s leading underground specialists with over 30 years’ experience in underground and open-pit mining. Work on boggers, drill rigs, dump trucks, light vehicles, and ancillary equipment while contributing to rebuilds, repairs, and specialised mining services.
Roster & Pay:
* Up to $80 per hour - ($7.3k per swing)
* 12-hour days | 6am - 6pm 8:6 Roster
* Weekly pay | Casual - Temp-Perm
* Metro 8:6 Days - Metro 7:7 Nights - Welshpool Workshop
Duties:
* Service, maintain & repair underground boggers, drill rigs, dump trucks & loaders
* Carry out installation & maintenance tasks on vehicle fleet, plant & ancillary equipment
* Perform full rebuilds & overhauls of underground machinery and components
* Ensure all equipment operates safely, efficiently & in line with OEM standards
* Support team projects including line boring, major rebuilds & site maintenance
Experience Required:
* Trade-qualified Fitter (HD)
* Proven underground mining equipment experience
* Exposure to Sandvik underground jumbos, loaders & trucks
* Strong diagnostic & fault-finding ability on LHDs (R2900G & CAT underground loaders)
* Ability to work independently or within a rebuild workshop environment
