R S Cockerill are a family business based at Dunnington, near York supplying fresh potatoes into the supermarkets, as well as supplying the major crisp manufacturers with processing potatoes. Reporting to the Transport Manager, we are looking for an HGV Driver to work on a 4 on/4 off shift, including weekend work. Theres the opportunity for additional days too, when required. We operate modern DAF and Renault tractor units using the latest in truck technology, always with driver comfort and safety in mind. We have a regular programme of reinvestment in trailers, all backed up by a robust preventative maintenance programme overseen by our own HGV Workshop. Job requirements:
We are looking for HGV Drivers with: Full UK driving licence and HGV C+E licence (Class 1). At least 2 years experience on articulated trucks. Prepared to spend nights out. Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card and be prepared to work within all the legal parameters of drivers hours legislation. Drive carefully and safely, mindful that they are ambassadors for the business. Have a good level of communication skills, work as part of a team, with the ability to understand and share verbal instruction in English. A willingness to work variable hours and be flexible to the needs of the business. Show full co-operation and awareness of company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
