Installation & Service Engineer Location: Remote - covering M4 South to M23 West corridor Type: Permanent, Full-Time Department: Service Reports to: Service Director (working closely with Installation Manager) Hunters' client, a market leader in humidification, dehumidification, and water treatment solutions, is seeking a skilled Installation & Service Engineer to join their dynamic and growing UK Service Team. Purpose of the Role As an Installation & Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing, and repairing state-of-the-art humidification and water treatment systems. While installation is the primary focus, you'll also support maintenance contracts, warranty work, and technical support. The role involves travel across the South of England and requires a self-motivated, technically competent professional. Key Responsibilities Installation Survey and execute system installations Collaborate with subcontractors and support project planning and documentation Servicing & Commissioning Commission, service, and repair Condair and competitor systems Planned Maintenance & Warranty Perform routine maintenance on contract sites Handle warranty assessments and ensure proper returns Training & Sales Support Provide training demonstrations to clients and internal teams Identify sales opportunities and feedback leads Communication & Reporting Submit detailed service reports and maintain clear communication with internal teams and clients Customer Service Build strong client relationships and offer suitable product/service solutions Equipment & Safety Maintain tools, PPE, and company vehicle Ensure full compliance with H&S and quality standards Skills & Competencies Strong verbal and written communication Excellent customer-facing skills Self-driven with strong organisational and time management abilities Technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems Collaborative team player with strong problem-solving skills Qualifications & Requirements Proven hands-on experience in a mobile field engineering role Skilled in commercial plumbing (e.g., copper, stainless, press-fit, soldering) Able to read and interpret technical drawings and site plans Basic electrical wiring and installation knowledge HVAC or related industry experience (desirable) Relevant engineering qualifications (preferred) GCSEs A-C in English and Maths (preferred) Full UK driving licence Willingness to travel daily with occasional overnight stays and weekend work (no night shifts) Employee Benefits 25 days annual leave, increasing to 30 with service, plus bank holidays Company pension scheme - up to 5% matched contribution Income Protection & Life Assurance Private Medical Insurance (Benefit-in-kind) Healthcare Cash Plan - optional Fitness Membership Contribution - £25/month Free office perks - tea, coffee, fruit & parking Employee Assistance Programme - confidential wellbeing, legal & financial advice Annual summer and winter social events Some benefits apply after 3 or 6 months of service.
