Interim Deputy Manager - Fixed term 3 months Oakfield House £26,813 to £29,738 per annum based on 37.5 hours per week As a deputy manager you will be supporting our Home Manager to continue to improve the lives of the individuals we support. You will play a vital role in both the home and wider organisation, acting as a positive role model to both staff and our supported individuals. A day in the life of a Interim Deputy Manager with Orbis Education and Care Involves:
1. Supporting the Home Manager to achieve compliance, with the regulatory framework, organisational objectives and a culture of continuous improvement.
2. Deputising in the manager’s absence and be a creative and innovative leader that supports the home to be a specialist excellent service.
3. Participating in the Companies “Out of hours” service.
4. Supporting the staff team with the transition of residents in and out of the home.
5. Helping to co-ordinate the homes recruitment process and lead interviews for new staff.
6. Acting as a mentor to new staff and co-ordinate their induction into the home.
7. Supporting the supervision of all staff and report on compliance.
To be a successful Deputy Manager with Orbis Education and Care, you’ll need:
8. A QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent and working towards your Level 4
9. At least 2 years working within a care home/ childrens home
10. At least 1 years experience within a team leader/senior role
11. A good understanding of the Positive behaviour support framework and the active support model as this underpins the way in which Orbis Educations & Care supports all the individual’s living in the home.
12. Experience of direct support experience with people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour.
13. Experience of leading a team of staff who support people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour.
14. Ability to work independently, meet targets and supervising staff.
15. Awareness of new developments / standards / best practice in the sector.
