Job Title: Stores Supervisor
Salary: £47,317 per annum (£23.33/hr)
Location: Crawley / Copthorne
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00
Role Overview We are seeking an organised and proactive Stores Supervisor to oversee daily stores operations across multiple depot sites. This role is key to ensuring the efficient supply and control of vehicle parts, tools, and consumables, helping to support maintenance teams and minimise vehicle downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily stores operations, including receipt, storage, and issuing of parts
Maintain accurate stock levels and records, carrying out regular physical and system audits
Order parts as required and manage supplier relationships
Ensure surcharge items are returned correctly and within required timeframes
Keep inventory and asset management systems up to date, including deliveries and returns
Supervise and support stores staff, allocating workloads and providing cover during absences
Work closely with engineering teams to prioritise VOR (Vehicle Off Road) parts
Produce reports and carry out stock data analysis
Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and depot standardsRequirements Essential:
Previous supervisory or team leader experience within a stores, warehouse, or automotive parts environment
Ability to use and understand electronic inventory systems
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Full UK driving licence
Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and data accuracyDesirable:
Experience in inventory management systems
