Key Responsibilities
Prepare timely monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, variance analysis) in GBP and EUR.
Manage month-end close and group financial consolidation, including cost control and promotional spend.
Oversee year-end accounts, statutory filings, and external audits in compliance with UK GAAP.
Supervise accounts payable/receivable, credit control, and intercompany transactions.
Monitor cash flow forecasts, approve forex and payments.
Strengthen internal controls and maintain finance systems (Xero).
Ensure VAT filings compliance with HMRC and regulatory bodies.
Coordinate payroll processing with external providers.
Support operational finance activities, including demand planning and inventory management.
Lead and develop the finance team and manage external service providers.
Ensure adherence to legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Experience & Skills
Financial control or senior accounting background
Chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Skilled with finance systems
Business-focused, strong communicator, adaptable
FMCG / Hospitality Background Advantageous
