Main purpose of the role
* Providing excellent customer care across all care pathways in the store
* Equipment and technical setup, completing delegated tasks
* Performing diagnostic and pre-assessment procedures under the supervision of the optometrist
* Performing digital imaging and OCT scan capture
* Conducting visual field testing following the optometrist's instructions and strategy
Essential skills
* Technical competence
* Minimum of six months experience as an Optical Assistant
* Excellent customer communication skills
* Confidence to seek guidance and support when needed
Main responsibilities
* Explaining appointments clearly to customers
* Ensuring data protection and regulatory compliance
* Completing diagnostics while adhering to IPC and PPE guidelines
* Making sure customers are comfortable and informed throughout their journey
