Due to expansion in our capacity and growth. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in early childhood education and childcare management to develop their skills within a supportive setting. The Nursery Practitioner will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and educational activities, ensuring the well-being and development of every child in their care.
Duties
* Plan and implement engaging daily activities tailored to the developmental needs of children
* Foster a warm, caring environment that promotes children's emotional and social development
* Supervise children during play, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
* Ensure health and safety procedures are strictly followed at all times
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
* Support colleagues in maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment
* Assist with administrative tasks related to childcare management when required
* Drive children safely to and from outings or activities if necessary
* Direct the operations of the team as a room leader
Qualifications
* Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting
* Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff and organise daily routines
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
* Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred
* Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions with children and colleagues
* A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities
