Senior (Advanced) Engineer
Location and working pattern
Location: Sheffield. Working throughout the UK. Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Overtime available; some weekends may be required.

Responsibilities
* Support the team of expert installation and service engineers, ensuring adherence to high engineering standards.
* Mentor and coach the team to support continuous improvement and excellence in AV integration.
* Collaborate with Engineering Management, Chief Engineer and Project Managers to deliver projects to the highest technical standards, on time and within budget.
* Oversee offsite prefabrication and installation of AV systems at customer sites.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and health and safety regulations.
* Develop and implement engineering best practices, processes and documentation.
* Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert-level support as needed.
* Lead the onsite installation team to deliver bespoke AV installations across the UK.
* Deliver excellent customer service and aim for right-first-time engineering.
* Position yourself as a subject-matter expert in one of our core technologies.
Job Requirements
* Extensive experience in the Audio-Visual industry with a strong background in AV systems design, integration, and engineering leadership.
* Proven track record of managing installation teams, hands-on from 1st fix to commissioning.
* Deep understanding of AV technologies including video distribution, networking, control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron), audio processing, projection, and display systems.
* Strong team management and organisational skills.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
* Willing to travel UK-wide to install systems (including overnight stays) and weekends and out-of-hours when required. We won't ask for more than 6 weekends per year.
Desirable Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, AV Technology, or a related field.
* Industry certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I).
* Experience with AutoCAD or similar AV design tools.
