Overview Of Role
We are looking for a qualified Engineer that has had experience in working in canning, food or a FMCG environment and in areas such as electrical/ controls equipment, fault finding on programme logic controllers (PLC's) hydraulics, pneumatics, presses, palletising, filling, coding, conveying, and labelling. You will be required to maintain a close working relationship with the production teams and other relevant departments to drive our health and safety culture.
Key Accountabilities
* Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs of plant and site service equipment utilising Simple Problem Solving to drive 100-year fix mentality
* Planned Maintenance and Maintenance requests.
* Adherence to statutory checks
* Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice
* Carry out Risk Assessments on non-routine tasks
* Use Permit to work systems
* Involvement in Continuous Improvement and Capital projects
* Upkeep of spares - Booking parts in/out of Stores
* Upkeep of all Engineering Technical documentation.
* Support and coach relevant employees in all aspects of shared maintenance
* To undertake training and up skilling programs as directed by business needs.
* Provide effective equipment care
* Deliver effective communication at times
* Make decisions within the framework of site policies and compliance to customer codes of practice.
The Right Person
We're seeking a qualified Multi-Skilled Engineer with a recognised engineering apprenticeship and experience in the food industry. You'll work with a range of machinery including pneumatics, robotics, PLCs (Mitsubishi, Siemens), HMIs, and packaging equipment. FMCG experience and knowledge of continuous improvement techniques are essential. You should be confident working independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and intuitive approach.
