Job Description:
To prepare detailed Fabrication, Assembly & Arrangement drawings for Production and Project departments in accordance with the Harland & Wolff Quality Management System.
The Role:
* Supporting the Production department, by answering technical queries
* Prepare AutoCAD drawings for steel structures, marine outfit and components in accordance with client detailed design drawings and specifications, company standards and other regulation requirements.
* Prepare materials parts lists detailing all components on fabrication drawings for Production, Estimating & QA departments to support progress reporting and traceability.
* Facilitate regular contact with projects, engineering and construction management as required.
Knowledge & Skills Essential:
* 2D CAD Experience
* Fabrication, production and Project knowledge
* Attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills
* Planning & Organisation
* Teamwork
* Proficient in MS Office Products
Desirable:
* Provide innovative, cost-effective mechanical design solutions in response to technical challenges
* Engineering Drawing Diploma or equivalent
* Minimum 5 years product/machine design experience
* Mechanical engineering design skills
Qualifications
HNC/HND Engineering (or equivalent experience)
