Overview
Ryecroft CofE Middle School (Inspirational Learning Trust) and Windsor Park CofE Middle School are accepting applications for a Site Technician. Location: Ryecroft CE Middle School ST14 5PB & Windsor Park CE Middle School ST14 7JX. Start date: AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Contract: Permanent, Whole Year – 37 hours per week. Reduced hours will be considered. Salary: Grade 3: SCP4 - £25,185 per annum.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated person to support the effective operation of the school. The role reports to the Site Supervisor and requires experience in a maintenance environment, a good standard of practical knowledge, and working knowledge of health and safety codes of practice/legislation.
Responsibilities
* You will play a key role in maintaining our sites and ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for our school communities.
* You will be hardworking, enthusiastic and flexible with high standards and a “can do” attitude.
* You will be a team worker able to work independently as directed, and to act on your own initiative to resolve unexpected problems.
* You will provide caretaking and housekeeping support, including site maintenance, site security, and the general appearance of buildings and grounds.
* You will carry out non-specialist building maintenance work (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, decorating) where within the reasonable capacity of a normal handyperson/DIY skills, as agreed.
* You will have an excellent working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation with practical experience ensuring compliance.
* A clean driving licence is advantageous as there will be travel between sites.

Required Qualifications and Attributes
* Experience in a maintenance environment and practical knowledge of basic trades.
* Good standard of health and safety knowledge and compliance.
* Ability to work as part of a team and independently as required.
* Willingness to travel between school sites (driving licence advantageous).
