Are you passionate about improving education for young people within the local community? Do you want to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children, staff, and families in this area? We are seeking a Chair of Governors for Rawlins, an 11–18 high school within Embrace Multi Academy Trust. This is a unique voluntary opportunity to lead the school’s dedicated and purposeful Local Governing Committee and help shape the future of a school that sits at the heart of its community.
This is a volunteer role and as Chair of Governors you will:
1. Provide strategic leadership and support to the principal and senior leaders,
2. champion the school’s vision, values, and commitment to excellence for all,
3. Ensure the voices of students, staff, and the wider community are heard and valued,
4. Work collaboratively with fellow governors and Embrace Multi Academy Trust to uphold high standards in education, wellbeing, and governance,
5. Uphold the Christian ethos and character of the school, and the seven principles of public life (selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty, leadership)..
