Overview
Geotechnical Engineer role at I. Municipalidad de Recoleta. The position involves planning, prioritising and managing site-based field testing and accompanying laboratory works on behalf of the company. The role will be based within the Central Belt area of Scotland with work-from-home flexibility and travel to sites as required. Right to work in the UK unassisted and a full UK driving licence are required.
Responsibilities
* Supervision of site-based testing, including soil sampling, then analysing and reporting on the results, using the company’s in-house laboratory if required.
* Collect and organise data to produce a variety of reports for internal teams and clients.
* Safe, profitable and timely delivery and management of all assigned responsibilities on numerous sites and projects.
* Input to proposal writing, interpretative reporting and factual report writing.
* Ensure professional relationships (internal and external) are developed and maintained to maximise opportunities to procure and profitably assist in project delivery.
* Work and dispense accountabilities proactively to help ensure that individual and team targets are achieved or exceeded.
* Site visits, assessments and surveys, including client meetings to determine project specification requirements.
* All technical works carried out in accordance with relevant standards, codes, guidelines and quality procedures.
Qualifications
* Applications are invited from professionals possessing a relevant degree and at least 2–3 years of related work experience.
* Ability to manage and deliver on accountabilities on time and within budget.
* Combining site work with office or lab-based technical duties.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
* Familiarity with relevant technical industry requirements/regulations, from studies or practical experience.
* Excellent numerical skills including data interpretation.
* IT literacy with Microsoft packages.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
* No visa or sponsorship available; RTW in the UK required.
