However, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and we are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need About the role: This is an exciting opportunity to join us and support MSOIC Modern Slavery (MS) & Organised Immigration Crime (OIC) Programme Manager in connection with the allocation and expenditure of a specific Home Office Grant. The role is hybrid and allows you to work from home or any police premises within the UK. It is a full time position and requires you to have excellent analytical, financial and personal skills. You will be assisting the Programme Manager with budget preparation, monitoring and closure of grant accounts and returns and be the point of contact for stakeholders to apply to for funding. You must be able to demonstrate some key skills within your application: Experience of working in a financial environment, preferably in the public sector, including budgetary control and working knowledge of accounting principles, the full accounting lifecycle, and large complex financial information / accounting systems. Demonstrably strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to analyse and interpret financial information and statistical data to support decision making, with an ability to identify and quantify cost drivers. An ability and confidence to provide strategic and non-strategic role specific technical and professional advice and support to a Senior Leadership Team, and to influence and challenge where necessary.
