Overview
Lookers South Shields Ford is recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Service Advisor to join our Aftersales Team on site. This is a permanent, full-time role offering an OTE up to £34,000 (uncapped), with a basic salary of £26,000 to £28,000 per annum (depending on experience). Working Hours: 42 hours per week, Monday - Friday between 8am - 5.30pm, plus Saturday on rota basis 8am to 1pm.
Joining our friendly aftersales team, you will be a team player with exceptional communication skills to build rapport with colleagues and customers. You will report to our aftersales manager who will help develop your knowledge and experience alongside the team, enabling you to grow your skills and establish a strong career within the industry. As a Service Advisor at Ford, you will benefit from continuous training opportunities through our in-house brand development. This is an exciting opportunity with potential for progression within Lookers.
Responsibilities
* Booking MOTs, services and other repair work for customers
* Advising customers about warranty cover and upselling additional parts / accessories that will benefit the customer
* Liaising with the full Aftersales department to organise and schedule appointments based on workload and call volumes
* Managing a high-volume of customers daily as well as telephone calls and online booking queries
* Informing customers of turnaround times and maintaining effective communication while their car is in the workshop
* Maintaining accurate customer records and updating systems when bookings are made
To be successful, you will have energy, a warm personality and a passion for delivering first-class customer experiences. You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly. Prior experience using Kerridge / ADP would be advantageous, as well as knowledge of other essential dealer systems. You should be a great team player who can also work independently using your own initiative. Experience in a similar automotive customer service role is desirable.
