We now invite applications for the following position based at our Omagh office.
Reporting to the Company Accountant the Assistant Accountant will provide a key role in assisting with the production of accurate accounting information for the Finance team and analysis of monthly results for the business in general.
The Role:
1. Assist and co-ordinate finance team in preparation of monthly management accounts;
2. Posting monthly journals and preparing general ledger reconciliations;
3. Carry out variance analysis v budget and investigate/explain variances;
4. Conducting financial analysis and providing insights to support decision making;
5. Responsibility for compliance (VAT & statutory returns);
6. Assist in the preparation of the information required for the year end audit and annual budget.
The Person:
7. Will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role;
8. Must possess third level finance/business qualification or equivalent;
9. Must have strong IT skills with experience in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel;
10. Excellent administration and analytical skills, organised and able to prioritise workload;
11. Ability to work on own initiative and within a busy team;
12. Ideally have experience of operating computerised accounting software.
