About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Hayes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to build a career in education, gain hands-on classroom experience, and make a real difference in children’s learning and development.
As a Graduate TA, you will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons, provide one-to-one and small group support, and assist in maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the teacher in delivering high-quality lessons
2. Provide one-to-one and small group interventions in literacy and numeracy
3. Assist in teaching phonics, reading, and writing
4. Adapt activities through differentiation to meet pupils’ needs
5. Offer SEND support and strategies for children with additional needs
6. Support EAL learners with language development
7. Help with classroom management and behaviour strategies
8. Prepare and organise learning resources and materials
9. Be a positive role model and promote pupil independence
Requirements
10. Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
11. Strong understanding of phonics, numeracy, and literacy support
12. Experience with SEND and EAL pupils preferred
13. Excellent communication, empathy, and initiative
14. Ability to work collaboratively within a school team
Preferred: Level 3 TA qualification and prior classroom experience
