Project Worker – Night Shift (Women’s Service)
* Location: Gateshead
* Status: 25 hours per week
* Deadline: 10 October 2025
This is a newly commissioned women’s service and forms part of a wider offer of accommodation in the Gateshead borough.
Working with Gateshead Council, we support women who have multiple needs and are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We work hard to ensure that everyone has a chance to “get to a better place”.
As a Project Worker, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that the building and the residents are safe. There are some domestic duties to keep the property in good condition but your main role will be making sure that house rules are kept to, that residents are safe and that the building is secure.
There will be opportunities to work with the residents as well - helping them to develop their independence by improving their life skills in areas like cooking, cleaning and maintaining a home.
Experience of working with vulnerable people is preferable, but what’s really important is having empathy, communicating well, and listening. It’s a challenging job but an incredibly rewarding one.
Due to the nature of this service, we are looking for female only applicants. This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.
Note: We do not accept CV’s, Successful applicants will undergo an enhanced disclosure and barring check.
