Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with secondary schools across Northampton who are seeking committed and confident Cover Supervisors to join their teams from January 2026. This full-time position offers a stable, ongoing opportunity to become a valued member of the school community.
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning by delivering pre-prepared lessons during teacher absences. You'll provide a calm, positive presence in the classroom and help ensure students remain engaged and on track.
What you'll be doing:
Supervising pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects (KS3-KS4)
Managing classroom behaviour and keeping students focused
Supporting learners with clear, consistent guidance
Becoming part of the school's daily routines and wider support network
Providing feedback on student engagement, progress, and any emerging concerns
You'll be a great fit if you:
Have experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable)
Are confident managing a classroom and promoting positive behaviour
Are seeking a secure, long-term role with real responsibility
Bring strong communication skills and a flexible, team-focused attitude
