Responsibilities
Inspectors conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler, or Suppression life safety products, including similar competitive products.
Key Tasks
* Work with low-voltage wiring and related devices.
* Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding via laptops or hard copies.
* Maintain a structured inspection schedule.
* Input, retrieve, and archive inspection data electronically.
* Perform minor repairs and system programming.
* Provide technical training to junior staff and trainees.
* Complete inspections on schedule.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
* CFAA Certification.
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* 5+ years of documented Fire Alarm Inspection or Service experience.
* Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and schematics.
* Proficiency with hand tools and multimeters.
* Strong troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to follow instructions and perform physical tasks (up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, etc.).
* Flexible working hours, including weekends.
* Adherence to safety policies and licensing requirements.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Organizational skills and a quick learner.
Preferred:
* Experience with special hazards, sprinklers, fire pumps, and suppression systems.
* Service background.
