Protocol Education are seeking an Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant to support younger pupils within a specialist SEND provision in the Peterlee area.
The early years department supports children with developmental delays, autism and communication needs, using play-based learning and sensory activities to support development.
As part of the early years team, you will help create a nurturing and engaging environment where children can feel safe and supported.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Supporting play-based learning activities
• Encouraging communication and interaction
• Assisting with sensory play and structured routines
• Supporting pupils with personal care where required
The school is seeking individuals who are caring, patient and passionate about supporting early development.
Applicants should hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a DBS through Protocol Education as part of the recruitment process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
