Job Overview
A great opportunity has arisen for a full time Head Chef to join us at Ye Olde Red Lion, Cheam.
As Head Chef you will oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchens and be able to manage, lead, motivate and develop the team.
Responsibilities will include menu planning, managing the financial KPI's enabling business success, purchasing, health and safety including food hygiene procedures.
You will have previous experience working as part of a fast paced, quality driven, culinary team, at Head Chef level, ideally within a reputable establishment.
This is a LIVE-OUT position so you need to have the ability to get to and from work.
Key Duties and Responsibilities will include:
Timely production of the kitchen rota
Assist with training the kitchen team.
Development of daily specials
Placing orders
Monthly stock take
Monitor and control food cost within budgeted guidelines.
Oversee the food safety management system.
The Successful Candidate will have:
Relevant experience from industry with leadership and management skills
Have previous experience in a similar environment and role.
Outstanding knowledge of food, culinary skills, and expertise
Feel comfortable in a fast-paced, busy environment.
Have an approachable, positive and proactive manner with a growth mindset.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
