Remedy International Medical are working with an established hospital in Bermuda, which is a British Overseas Territory to recruit an experienced Occupational Therapist within the Community Intellectual Disabilities to join their established team.

Responsibilities:
* Meeting productivity standards set by the department for direct patient contact and other related non-patient contact duties
* Performing an appropriate assessment on all in and/or outpatients following referral; use objective clinical measures to identify problems and formulate treatment plans based on realistic stated goals; carry out specific therapeutic interventions as indicated ensuring that a client centered approach is employed throughout this process
* Supervising and delegating specific written treatment plans to aides, assistants, and/or students
* Observing and evaluating treatment effect; communicating patient progress or lack of to appropriate staff and physicians
* Maintaining patient documentation using the appropriate paper work, ensuring documentation meets current standards and policies; prepares specific clinical reports as requested
* Keeping accurate and timely statistics of both direct and indirect time spent and prepares specific clinical reports as required
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required with certification, if applicable, in jurisdiction of training
* 1 – 2 years post-graduate experience in a related Occupational Therapy environment, preferably within a hospital
* Local registration to practice with the Council for Allied Health Professions (CAHP) and meet all re-registration requirements
* Experience working within a psychiatric setting and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; liaison with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality service and continuity of care
* Flexibility and creativity to accommodate the needs of the patients, care givers and Rehabilitation Team
* Improvement of Occupational Therapy services within the service
* Diplomacy, ability to delegate and supervise assistants, aides, and students
The Offer:
* Starting Salary Grade: $94,000 (low tax rate)
* Subsidised housing for the first 3 months, with travel and relocation allowance, plus an attractive benefits package.
* 2 year contracts
