Area Farms Manager
Area Farms Manager – Poultry / Livestock Production - Midlands / Northern England - £38,000 + Vehicle + Bonus
The Job:
An established and progressive poultry business is seeking an experienced Area Farms Manager to oversee a portfolio of turkey growing sites across the Midlands and Northern regions, including parts of Cheshire, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.
This is a hands on field based role supporting both company owned and contract farms, ensuring high standards of bird welfare, farm performance and compliance are consistently achieved.
The successful candidate will work closely with farm managers and growers, providing practical guidance, technical support and performance monitoring across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities:
- Support and manage a network of poultry farms across the region
- Monitor flock performance, welfare standards and farm KPIs
- Ensure biosecurity and farm assurance standards are maintained
- Work alongside growers to improve efficiency and production results
- Review flock data including mortality, liveweights, feeding programmes and placement schedules
- Assist farms during audits and promote best practice across sites
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular operational reporting
- Liaise closely with production management and wider operational teams
- Promote safe working practices and company procedures across all farms
- Participate in occasional weekend and catch duties as required
The Candidate:
- Previous experience within poultry or livestock production
- Good understanding of ventilation, brooding, bird health and welfare
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Able to work independently and manage multiple sites effectively
- Organised with strong attention to detail
- Practical and proactive approach to problem solving
- Full UK driving licence required

All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
