The Role
Our Audit and Assurance department is the largest service offering at Azets, with clients of varying sizes across multiple industries. We tailor our audit procedures to meet individual client needs, making each engagement unique.
The services we provide have a meaningful impact on our clients, communities, and the wider business and audit community. Our team undergoes continuous training to stay up-to-date with legislation. Clients are advised by local contacts who understand their specific needs, supported by a large, experienced national team.
As an Audit Associate, you will play a key role in our department's success. Your initial focus will be on building your auditing skills by assisting with statutory audits, applying your technical knowledge to real scenarios, analyzing data, and presenting findings.
Responsibilities
* Attend internal audit planning meetings
* Understand clients' businesses and internal processes for audit planning
* Perform audit testing to provide assurance over financial statements
* Obtain audit evidence from clients
* Use audit technologies to analyze financial data and identify risks
* Participate in client stock counts
* Review financial statements prepared by clients or Azets
* Communicate effectively with clients in person and virtually
* Send queries to clients and reconcile data
* Manage deadlines and coordinate with team members
As you progress, you'll mentor new trainees and develop project management skills to meet deadlines and budgets.
Qualifications
We offer a comprehensive training program, including on-the-job training and support to complete a professional qualification, such as the ACA. This includes college/study days, mentoring, and a dedicated buddy.
