Job Opportunity: Maintenance Electrician
The client is a renowned energy and services contractor, part of a global industrial group, specializing in design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide.
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to join our estates team at a hospital in Oxford. This is a permanent, full-time position working from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reporting to the Operations Manager
* Act as a lead technician for the site, demonstrating a thorough understanding of electrical building services installation and maintenance techniques
* Apply trade skills and experience, including providing one-to-one training to team members
* Ensure the completion of statutory obligations and maintenance tasks, breakdown repairs, installations, and refurbishments within SLA and KPI standards
* Take on AP/RP roles where skills or training are available
* Perform testing and inspection in accordance with City & Guilds 2391 standards
* Work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Skills & Qualifications:
* Recognized electrical trade apprenticeship or relevant qualifications up to level 3, with industry experience
* Electrical 18th Edition certification
* Experience in building services, with knowledge of air handling systems and water hygiene
* Willingness to develop cross-skilling skills
* Excellent customer service, communication, and computer skills
* Strong planning, organization, and prioritization abilities
* Ability to demonstrate initiative and judgment in problem-solving
* In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety procedures; formal training is advantageous
