Are you an organised, hands-on individual with the initiative to manage stock, equipment, and daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment?
TAG Catering Equipment is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our dynamic and expanding team in Stevenage. Whilst this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced warehouse operative to put their stamp on our warehouse organisation, parts and equipment distribution, experience is not essential.
Our warehouse is a vital hub for our engineering and project teams, ensuring equipment, parts, and materials are well organised and ready to support installations and service work.
Our team delivers premium hospitality kitchens and bar fit‑outs across the UK—combining award‑winning design with high‑quality installation and efficient project delivery. You'll join a supportive team that values growth and hands‑on development.
The Role:
* You will manage the daily flow of stock, parts, and larger pieces of catering equipment within our busy warehouse.
* The role involves supporting engineers with their van stock and job requirements, as well as working closely with our Project Support Coordinators to prepare equipment for upcoming installations.
* This position suits someone who enjoys taking ownership, staying organised, and improving systems and processes.
* While previous warehouse experience is helpful, it's not essential—we're looking for the right mindset and a proactive approach. If you're organised, hands-on, and eager to learn, we'll provide the support and training you need to succeed.
* Experienced candidates who want to bring fresh ideas and help shape our warehouse systems are also very welcome.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive, check, and record all incoming deliveries, including large catering equipment and appliances.
* Organise and store equipment in the warehouse safely and logically, considering installation schedules and engineer requirements.
* Prepare and lay out parts, tools, and equipment for daily engineer collections.
* Work closely with Project Support Coordinators to ensure the correct equipment is ready for upcoming installation projects.
* Manage returned items from engineers, processing incorrect or faulty parts back to suppliers.
* Maintain a tidy, organised warehouse environment, keeping stock labelled and shelves orderly.
* Use a pallet pump truck to manoeuvre heavy items (experience preferred).
* Support ongoing warehouse improvement work, including upgrading racking, barcoding, and removing old stock.
* Follow processes accurately while using initiative to solve issues and improve efficiency.
* Assist in developing and implementing new warehouse procedures and systems.
The Fit:
* Previous warehouse or stock control experience preferred, but not essential.
* Experience using a pallet pump truck (no forklift licence required).
* Basic technical understanding of plumbing and electrical parts, or catering equipment is beneficial but not essential.
* Good IT skills and confidence using stock systems.
* Strong organisational ability with high attention to detail.
* A proactive "can-do" attitude, able to work independently and take initiative.
* Willingness to contribute ideas and support process improvements.
Benefits:
* Support from an award-winning marketing, design, service desk, projects and sales team so you can focus on your role
* A hands-on role with real responsibility, variety and the chance to be part of an exciting warehouse upgrade project
