Activities Coordinator – Care Home (BS21) 22 hours per week | £12.26 per hour Shifts: 6 hours per day, 4 days per week Availability: Willing to support occasional weekend events when required We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Activities Coordinator to join our team at Clevedon Court Care Home. The role involves planning and delivering a variety of engaging activities to enhance the wellbeing, independence, and enjoyment of our elderly residents. Main duties: * Plan, organise, and lead daily activities such as arts and crafts, games, exercise sessions, music, gardening, and social events * Arrange special themed days, entertainment, and outings within the local community * Encourage residents to participate, tailoring activities to individual interests, abilities, and care needs * Work closely with care staff and families to ensure activities support residents’ emotional and physical wellbeing * Record attendance, feedback, and activity outcomes for each resident * Support with decorating and setting up for events and celebrations * Help promote a positive, friendly atmosphere within the home * Be flexible and willing to assist with occasional weekend or evening events Requirements: * Friendly, patient, and creative with a genuine interest in supporting older people * Good communication and teamwork skills * Organised and able to plan a varied activities programme * Previous experience in a care or activities role is an advantage but not essential – training will be provided This is a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to the lives of our residents, helping them stay active, engaged, and happy
