Our client is a well-established, family-run mechanical and electrical services provider, delivering reactive maintenance, repair, and small works projects across the North of England. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced M&E Estimator to strengthen their Repairs & Maintenance team in Teesside.
Role Overview: M&E Estimator
This is a newly created role within the R&M team, focused on pricing mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance works. You will be responsible for producing accurate and timely quotations based on job cards raised by field service engineers, as well as managing client communication to improve conversion rates.
The role is predominantly office-based with occasional site visits and surveys. You will work closely with operational managers and engineers, playing a key role in supporting business growth and improving estimating performance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare quotations and cost estimates for M&E repair and maintenance works
· Review job cards and technical information provided by field service engineers
· Follow up and chase submitted quotations to improve conversion rates
· Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular check-ins
· Attend occasional site surveys and site visits to support accurate pricing
· Work to agreed KPIs, including turnaround time (1-2 days) and quote conversion
· Collaborate with operations and management teams to support delivery
Key Requirements:
· Proven estimating experience within M&E repairs and maintenance
· Strong mechanical background (HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, piping, refrigeration)
· Electrical experience desirable but not essential (training available)
· Commercial gas experience would be a strong advantage
· Excellent understanding of M&E services and maintenance environments
· Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
· Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple quotations
Package:
· Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
