Overview
Circle Health Group's St Edmunds Hospital in Bury St Edmunds, part of Britain's leading independent healthcare provider, is seeking a Clinical Services Manager. The hospital performs more complex surgeries than any other private provider nationwide.
This full-time role involves leading the nursing team, ensuring high standards of patient care, and supporting strategic initiatives. The role requires flexibility to cover a shift pattern.
Duties of This Role Include
* Lead the nursing team to deliver evidence-based, compassionate care that meets individual patient needs and supports community health.
* Act as a clinical leader and role model, working at least one clinical shift per week, providing advice and support.
* Ensure nursing staff deliver individualized patient care aligned with professional standards and policies.
* Promote best practices, safeguarding, and multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure safe and effective care.
* Oversee daily clinical operations to maintain safe staffing, appropriate skill mix, and efficient patient flow.
* Manage staff rotas, leave, and resource allocation to meet KPIs and labor targets.
* Collaborate with senior leadership to support strategic and operational plans.
* Implement service development and improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and performance.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
* Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
* Proven leadership in senior nursing or clinical management roles.
* Strong knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety, and health policies.
* Ability to lead teams, manage performance, and coordinate services in a dynamic environment.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Financial acumen, including budgeting and resource management.
* Ability to analyze data, manage risks, and support service improvements.
* Leadership or management qualification (e.g., ILM, MBA, PGCert).
* Experience in private healthcare, acute hospitals, or multispecialty settings.
* Knowledge of electronic rostering and clinical documentation systems.
* Experience in clinical audits, business development, and peer reviews.
