Job Description
Clean and sanitise all kitchen utensils, dishes, pots, and pans in a timely manner using appropriate equipment and cleaning agents
Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment, including stoves, ovens, grills, and fryers
Assisting chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling and chopping vegetables when required
Properly dispose of food waste and other kitchen waste materials, adhering to recycling and waste management guidelines
Always keep the kitchen and restaurant areas in a clean and tidy state

Operate heavy equipment according to manufactures instructions
co-operate with all team members and undertake duties in the kitchen / service areas as requested to ensure an efficient and effective service is always delivered
Attend health and safety and food safety training courses as required
Ensure cleaning areas under your control are maintained to the company and COSHH standards
Rigorously follow the unit cleaning schedules
Unloading deliveries and storing supplies in the appropriate areas
Attend all location meetings as required
Attend to any reasonable request made by the client or BaxterStorey Management
Monitor and replenish kitchen supplies, such as cleaning products, utensils, and dishware, to ensure uninterrupted kitchen operations
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
Work closely with chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout food preparation and service
Assist with general kitchen duties as required, including sweeping and mopping floors, emptying bins, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas

11.44 an hour, 35hrs per week or 20 hours per week contract available

Qualifications
Good at problem-solving skills as well strategic thinking
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
Sound judgement and confident in making decisions
