Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical:
* Practice autonomously without direct supervision
* Utilize advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, treat, and refer patients
* Recognize the need for, initiate, and interpret diagnostic investigations
* Initiate advice from relevant specialisms when appropriate
* Exhibit excellent communication skills with patients and carers
* Maintain accurate clinical records in line with guidelines
* Work within your skills and knowledge, recognizing practice limitations
* Stay informed of developments in clinical practice
* Promote evidence-based practice
* Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
* Adhere to performance measures
* Provide health promotion and accident prevention advice
* Promote safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults
* Follow Infection Prevention and Control policies
* Prescribe medication within current legislation
* Discharge or refer patients appropriately
* Handle medicines safely and securely according to policy and legislation
Managerial:
* Participate in clinical audits and team meetings
* Support policy implementation and work within guidelines
* Lead and participate in clinical audits
* Mentor new staff and participate in inductions
* Supervise, delegate, and coordinate staff activities
* Participate in appraisals and address performance issues
* Manage challenging behavior sensitively
* Ensure efficient use of resources and make recommendations for improvements
Clinical Governance:
