We are seeking an experienced and committed Safeguarding and Wellbeing Team Leader to join our high performing Safeguarding and Wellbeing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people thrive, stay safe and succeed, while contributing to a proactive, supportive and professional service.
You will provide timely and effective safeguarding and wellbeing support to students where concerns have been identified, ensuring appropriate intervention, strong multi-agency working and high-quality case management. You will manage a varied caseload, respond to referrals, support colleagues and contribute to the continuous improvement of safeguarding practice across the college.
This is a demanding and fast paced role with high levels of responsibility and direct impact on student wellbeing, safety and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the triage, assessment and allocation of safeguarding and wellbeing referrals, acting as first response to concerns and managing an assigned caseload.
2. Provide timely safeguarding and wellbeing interventions, including Early Help and crisis support, ensuring strong multi-agency collaboration and effective signposting.
3. Maintain high quality records, analyse service data to identify trends and produce reports that inform preventative and responsive strategies.
4. Deputise for senior safeguarding leads when required, including acting as DSL, chairing review meetings and supporting the delivery of safeguarding training to staff.
5. Maintain and develop safeguarding systems, documentation and digital platforms, ensuring information is accurate, up to date and aligned with statutory guidance and best practice.
