Job summary

Fixed Term: 6 months | 40hrs per week

We're offering exciting opportunities for senior clinical fellows who are within 6 months of, or have recently obtained, their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Paediatrics or Emergency Medicine. These posts are designed to enhance your clinical and leadership experience in paediatric emergency medicine, offering substantial hands-on exposure and senior responsibilities.

About Us: The Emergency Department at Sheffield Children's is a vibrant, high-performing team providing emergency care for children under 16, with over 65,000 attendances annually. As a designated Major Trauma Centre, we manage the full spectrum of paediatric emergency presentations, from minor injuries to critical care cases. Our team includes consultants, ST1-2 trainees, Resident Doctors (CT3+), ENPs, and GPs, supported by an adjacent Acute Assessment Unit (AAU).

What you'll bring:

* MBBS / MBChB or equivalent
* Full GMC registration
* Within 6 months of, or already completed, CCT in Paediatrics or Emergency Medicine (or equivalent)
Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Consultant Team Lead (ED), your responsibilities will include:
* Provide clinical care on the CT3+ Resident Doctors rota, including nights and weekends
* Work closely with PEM consultants and the multidisciplinary team
* Contribute to clinical leadership, education, and supervision of junior colleagues
* Maintain accurate clinical records
* Participate in departmental audits, QI projects, and teaching sessions
