Group and Events Sales Coordinator - Central London
The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for a Group and Events Sales Coordinator to join our talented Groups and Events team. We are looking for a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.
In the role of a Group and Events Sales Coordinator, your key focus will be to:
* oversee all aspects of event planning and management of all internal events
* ensure a high level of customer service during the event planning process, to ensure all events are planned to a high standard, meeting or exceeding customers’ expectations, including but not limited to site visits, menu tastings, BEO compilation, rooming-list liaison with reservations team, AV requirements etc.
* support the team with conversion, when required, by deploying effective sales and negotiation techniques, including face-to-face sales calls, site inspections and creative sales processes
* assist with issuing contracts and inputting bookings in Salesforce
* support Planning team with creating and printing stationary for events
* conduct site inspections for competitor visits, and support Fam trips when required
* undertake research and telesales to generate new bookings for the Events team when required
Do you have?
* previous experience of working in a similar hotel/events environment (essential)
* previous experience of reactive sales and/or event planning process (desirable)
* excellent customer service skills
* strong administrative and organisation skills
* great attention to details
* ability to work under pressure and to set deadlines
* previous use of Opera and Salesforce systems (desirable)
