Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase culinary expertise within a dynamic hospitality environment, fostering a creative and efficient kitchen atmosphere. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff supervision, and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.

Duties

* Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including sous chefs and kitchen assistants, to ensure smooth daily operations
* Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and are prepared in a timely manner
* Develop innovative menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences while maintaining cost control
* Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
* Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and provide ongoing training to optimise team performance
* Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment
* Assist with food preparation and cooking during busy periods or special events as required
* Serve as a role model for professionalism, leadership, and hospitality excellence

Qualifications

* Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
* Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
* Demonstrable leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
* Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations
* Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
* Knowledge of food production processes and menu development
* Experience in serving customers directly is advantageous but not essential
* A passion for culinary arts combined with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £26,183.29-£47,405.29 per year
