Are you a proactive and people-focused HR professional looking to make a real impact in a fast-paced, multi-site business? Hydraquip is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our dynamic team, supporting our operations across the UK.
Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner and working closely with the HR Business Partner, you’ll provide generalist HR support across the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and policy development. You’ll be a trusted advisor to managers and employees, helping to resolve ER matters fairly and consistently, and contributing to HR initiatives that enhance engagement and drive business success.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Be the go-to expert for first line HR support and advice, supporting employees and managers with confidence and clarity across a wide range of people matters.
* Champion employee relations, guiding managers through complex situations like disciplinaries, grievances, and performance challenges with fairness and professionalism.
* Drive smooth HR operations, managing contracts, onboarding, exit interviews, and keeping our HR systems running like clockwork.
* Play a key role in recruitment, helping us attract top talent and ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
* Help shape the future of HR at Hydraquip, contributing to policy development and people projects that improve performance, engagement, and retention.
* Collaborate across teams, working closely with managers, engineers, and support staff to build a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous demonstrative experience of working within a HR Advisory and Generalist HR capacity/role.
* Be working towards or completed CIPD Level 3 or above.
* Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
* Strong communication, influencing, and organisational skills.
* Experience in a fast-paced, multi-site operational environment (desirable).
