Outreach Support Worker – Be the Link That Changes Lives

We're looking for an Outreach Support Worker to join our Severe and Multiple Disadvantage Service in Southend. You'll be working with rough sleepers and ex-rough sleepers—people who've experienced exclusion, trauma, and complex needs—and helping them access the support they need to live independently and with dignity.
What your day might look like:
* Start by checking in with residents at our Complex Needs hostel.
* Head out into the community to connect with individuals who are traditionally hard to engage.
* Help people access treatment, health services, and housing options.
* Provide advice on welfare benefits, financial wellbeing, and tenancy rights.
* Advocate for customers and support them in making informed choices about their lives.
* Work closely with partner agencies to build a network of support around each individual.

Could it be you?
We're looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with people with complex needs
* Can provide support in both hostel and outreach settings
* Understands safeguarding, housing rights, and welfare benefits
* Is confident working independently and using initiative
* Has great communication skills and a non-judgmental approach
* Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a car
* Is happy to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
