A leading data centre and mission critical main contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join their growing team across the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing contractor delivering flagship projects across the UK, with rapid career progression and exposure to major schemes.
The Role
As Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving health, safety, and environmental standards across multiple high-value construction projects. You will work closely with site teams, project managers, and senior leadership to ensure full compliance and promote a strong safety-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety reviews
• Support project teams in maintaining full HSEQ compliance
• Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions
• Review RAMS, method statements, and risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and UK H&S legislation
• Work closely with subcontractors to maintain site safety standards
• Assist with pre-construction planning and tender support where required
Requirements
• Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor within main contracting
• Strong background in construction, ideally data centres, industrial, or mission critical projects
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential)
• IOSH membership (desirable)
• Strong knowledge of UK construction health & safety legislation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Full UK driving licence
