Overview
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 year in the first instance. Applications are invited for a post-doctoral researcher to work with Prof. Michele Vendruscolo at the Centre for Misfolding Diseases, Department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge. The post is to work on a research programme on the study of the phase behaviour of alpha-synuclein and its links with Parkinson's disease.
Responsibilities
* Use a variety of biophysical methods to study the phase behaviour of alpha-synuclein and its links with Parkinson’s disease.
* Work in a highly multidisciplinary, dynamic and collaborative environment.
* Possess flexibility to start from October 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter.
Qualifications
* PhD in a relevant specialist area (or about to obtain).
* Background in experimental biophysics or related disciplines.
* Keen interest in applying biophysical methods to complex biological systems.
