Engineering Team Leader Greater Manchester Permanent - £52-55k + bonus (up to 10% of basic salary) + 25 days holiday
Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Engineering Team Leader for a well-established special purpose machine manufacturer based about 12 miles North of Manchester. The successful Engineering Team Leader will be electrically qualified as well having some existing people leading/managing experience.
Key aspects of the Engineering Team Leader role include
The Engineering Team Leader will manage a small team comprising of Electrical CAD Engineer and two Control Engineers
The bulk of the role will focus on mentoring, leading and supporting the team as well as helping gel the team and increase performance
A background in commissioning control systems would be useful, as would good project skills for example scheduling, managing resources and stakeholder management
Oversee the design and development work of the team by checking and approving drawings
Guide the team on producing designs, installation and test documentation
Provide a technical interface between customers and suppliers
90% of the role will be office/shopfloor based with 10% (roughly 4-5 weeks per year) spent on customers sites globally. Trips are usually around 1 week in duration
Could suit an Engineering Team Leader from a machine building or maintenance background
Knowledge of hydraulics extremely useful
Support the team with testing and troubleshooting on the shop floor
Training budget available
Role will be mainly office/shop floor based with occasional international travel company estimates 2-3 trips per year
Hours 37.5 per week Monday Thursday 8:15-16:30 and 8:15 15:15 on Fridays
